Privacy Policy

What we collect in the Sienna app, how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Effective Date: October 17, 2026

1. Introduction

Sienna Creations LLC (“Sienna,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Sienna mobile application (the “App”), a curated social platform for artists and creators and the people who follow their work. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect through the App and related services (together, the “Services”), how we use and share it, and the choices you have.

Our Terms of Service govern your use of the Services. By using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Policy. Where we rely on your consent to process personal information, we will ask for it separately.

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email before the changes take effect.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

  1. (a)Account information. When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. Sign-in runs on Firebase Authentication, a service provided by Google. We may also ask you to confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
  2. (b)Profile information. You may add a profile photo, handle, bio, website, and links to your Instagram and X profiles. Other users can see this information.
  3. (c)Posts. If you are an approved Artist, we collect the Content you post, including images, video, audio, captions, and details such as prices, venues, and dates. Other users can see your posts.
  4. (d)Preferences. We collect the Artists you follow and how often you want to hear from each one.
  5. (e)Artist requests. If you ask to post as an Artist, we collect the information you provide with that request and record whether we approved it.
  6. (f)Communications. We collect the information you provide when you contact us, submit a report, or request removal of content, which may include your contact information, a signature, and a description of the content at issue. We also receive information about you when another user submits a report or request that involves you.

2.2 Information in Uploaded Files

Image, video, and audio files often contain embedded information, such as the date a file was created, the device used, and the location where it was created. The App removes embedded location information from photos, videos, and audio files on your device before they are uploaded, and we do not receive or keep original files that contain it. Other embedded information, such as the creation date and device details, may remain in uploaded files and may be visible to anyone who can access them.

2.3 Information We Collect Automatically

  1. (a)Activity in the App. We record which posts you see and open, on which screen, and when. We use this information to understand how the App is used and to tailor Briefs to your interests.
  2. (b)Briefs. We store the Briefs we deliver to you, the time you receive them, and your device’s time zone, which we update each time you open the App.
  3. (c)Device and notification information. We collect technical information about your device and your use of the App, including your IP address, device model, operating system version, App version, language, and app-installation and session identifiers. If you enable push notifications, Firebase Cloud Messaging also collects your push token so that we can deliver notifications, and we record whether notifications are turned on.
  4. (d)Crash and performance data. Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and app session data, including device information and the state of the App at the time of a crash, to help us diagnose and fix problems.
  5. (e)App technologies. The App uses software development kits, local device storage, and similar technologies to authenticate you, keep you signed in, deliver notifications, report crashes, and record the activity described above. These technologies run inside the App and do not use browser cookies.

2.4 Information From Other Sources

If you link your Instagram or X profile, we store only the link you provide. We do not access your accounts on those services. If Apple provides your age range through its age-assurance tools, the App uses it on your device only to confirm that you meet our age requirement. We do not store that information on our servers or share it with anyone.

3. How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  1. (a)create and manage your account, confirm that you are eligible to use the Services, and authenticate you;
  2. (b)operate the Services, including displaying profiles and posts and delivering Briefs and push notifications;
  3. (c)tailor Briefs and the Content you see to the Artists you follow and your activity in the App;
  4. (d)review requests to post and administer Artist accounts;
  5. (e)feature public profiles and posts in Sienna’s own marketing materials, as our Terms of Service permit, unless you opt out;
  6. (f)moderate Content, respond to reports, and enforce our Terms of Service and content standards;
  7. (g)diagnose problems, maintain security, and improve the App;
  8. (h)send service-related communications, such as account notices and changes to our terms (we do not currently send marketing emails); and
  9. (i)comply with legal obligations and respond to legal process.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose personal information as follows:

  1. (a)Other users. Your profile information and, if you are an Artist, your posts are visible to other users of the App.
  2. (b)Service providers. We use Google’s Firebase and Google Cloud services to host the App and store data, authenticate users, deliver push notifications, and collect crash reports, and we use email and support tools to receive and respond to your messages, reports, and requests. These providers process personal information on our behalf under agreements that restrict their use of it. Google’s privacy practices are described at https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy. Google also processes certain information about the operation and use of its services for its own purposes, such as maintaining security and improving those services, under its own terms and privacy policy. Apple’s push notification service also processes the information needed to deliver notifications to your device; Apple’s privacy practices are described at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/.
  3. (c)Legal requirements and safety. We may disclose personal information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or if we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Sienna, our users, or others, or to investigate fraud or abuse. We report apparent child sexual exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children and to law enforcement as the law requires.
  4. (d)Business transfers. If Sienna is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any change in ownership or in the use of your personal information.
  5. (e)With your consent. We may share personal information for other purposes with your consent.

5. Your Choices

  1. (a)Profile and preferences. You can edit your profile information and change which Artists you follow and how often you hear from them at any time in the App.
  2. (b)Push notifications. You can turn push notifications on or off in the App or in your device settings.
  3. (c)Deleting posts. Artists can delete individual posts from the post view in the App.
  4. (d)Promotional use. To stop Sienna from featuring your public profile or posts in its marketing materials, email us at support@sienna.art. We will stop new promotional uses and remove your Content from promotional channels we control within a reasonable period. Opting out does not affect how your profile and posts appear in the App.
  5. (e)Deleting your account. You can delete your account from the Settings screen in the App. You may also request deletion by emailing us at support@sienna.art. Deleting your account removes your profile and posts from the Services, subject to Section 6.

6. Data Retention

We keep personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy. How long we keep a particular piece of information depends on what it is, the feature it supports, whether your account is active, our legal obligations, and any open request, investigation, or dispute. In general:

  1. (a)Account information and posts. We keep account, profile, and preference information and posts while your account is active and we need the information to provide the related feature.
  2. (b)Age information from Apple. The App discards the age range and any other information Apple provides through its age check once the check is complete, whether or not you pass it.
  3. (c)Activity and technical data. We keep activity records, Brief records, device identifiers, and crash and diagnostic data as long as we need them for personalization, reliable operation, troubleshooting, and security. Crash reports and diagnostic logs follow Firebase’s standard retention periods.
  4. (d)Reported content. We keep reported content and related moderation records for 30 days after we remove the content. When we submit a report to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, we preserve the reported material and related information for one year after the report is submitted, as the law requires. We may keep reported content longer when reasonably necessary to resolve an open investigation or dispute or to comply with law.
  5. (e)Support and legal requests. We keep support and legal-request records as long as we need them to resolve the matter, document our response, comply with law, and protect legal rights.

Subject to the retention exceptions described above, when you delete a post, we immediately remove the post and its content from the App and from our active systems. Subject to the same exceptions, when you delete your account, we immediately remove your profile, posts, preferences, activity records, and other personal information associated with your account from the App and from our active systems. Apart from records retained under those exceptions, we keep only an internal identifier for the deleted item, the internal user identifier we assigned to the account, and the time of deletion, and we do not keep backup copies of content you delete. Our hosting providers, including Google, complete deletion from their own live and backup systems under their applicable deletion processes, which may take additional time, and crash and diagnostic data held by Firebase Crashlytics persists for a limited period under Firebase’s standard retention schedule. Copies of Content that other users or third parties saved before deletion are outside our control. Deleting the App from your device does not delete your account.

7. Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

8. Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a person under 18 has created an account, we will terminate the account and delete the person’s personal information, except information we must preserve as described in Section 6 or as otherwise required by law. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, please contact us at support@sienna.art.

9. Where We Process Information

Sienna operates from the United States, and the Services are currently offered only in the United States. Our service providers may store and process personal information in the United States and in other countries where they maintain facilities. If you access the Services from outside the United States, you understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States and, where applicable, other countries, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. If we make the Services available in other countries, we will update this Policy to describe the additional protections that apply.

10. California Residents

This Section provides additional information for California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended (“CCPA”), to the extent the CCPA applies to Sienna.

10.2 Your Rights

Subject to applicable exceptions, you have the right to:

  1. (a)know the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, our purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we have disclosed it;
  2. (b)request deletion of your personal information;
  3. (c)request correction of inaccurate personal information; and

We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we have not done so in the preceding 12 months. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes other than those permitted by the CCPA.

10.3 How to Exercise Your Rights

You may delete your account directly in the App. To exercise any other right, or to request deletion by another method, email us at support@sienna.art. We may need to verify your identity, which we generally do by confirming that you control the email address associated with your account. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; we may require proof of the agent’s authority and may still verify your identity directly. We will respond within the time required by law.

10.4 Global Privacy Control

Because we do not sell or share personal information, Global Privacy Control signals do not change how we process your information. If our practices change, we will honor those signals as required by law.

11. Residents of Other U.S. States

If you live in a state with a comprehensive privacy law, such as Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, or Texas, you may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal a decision on your request. To the extent those laws apply to Sienna, you may exercise those rights by contacting us as described in Section 10.3. If we deny your request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and we will inform you of the outcome and of any further recourse available to you. We do not sell personal information, use it for targeted advertising, or engage in profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

12. Do Not Track and Third-Party Tracking

Some browsers and devices transmit “Do Not Track” signals. Because no uniform standard exists for responding to those signals, the Services do not currently respond to them. The App does not use advertising or cross-app tracking technologies, and we do not permit advertising networks or other third parties to collect personal information about your activities over time and across other apps or websites through the Services for advertising purposes. Our service providers collect information through the App to support the Services and, in Google’s case, for the limited purposes of its own described in Section 4.
